About the Group

Stratford Photo Group was founded around 1945, bringing together people interested in photography in the Stratford-on-Avon district. Today, as then, whatever your level of skill, equipment or interest, you will be welcome to our meetings.

Our member's interests range from the traditional monochrome processes to the latest in digital imaging. Some of our members have developed wide ranging and considerable photographic skills over the years and are always pleased to help others improve theirs. So whatever you are, just starting out or wish to find out more to improve your photography, or just enjoy the company of other photographers, we are sure the group has something for you.

Members Annual Photographic Exhibition
The members of the Group will be holding their next exhibition at Stratford-upon-Avon Library, Henley Street in September 2012. The Group is extremely grateful to the Library and its staff for making this exhibition possible.

When do we meet?
From September to June we normally meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month starting around 7.45pm. In addition to the regular meetings we also arrange field trips and outings to local events amd places of interest throughout the year. Details of these events are given out at group meetings.

Where do we meet?
Group meetings are held at the
Bishopton Community Centre, Drayton Avenue, Stratford-on-Avon CV37 9PB.

What do we do?
Talks by eminent photographers, practical demonstrations of photography and digital techniques, and field trips are all part of our annual programme of events. In addition we hold a series of competitions both internally and with other local camera clubs. These give members the opportunity to have their work assesed by other photographers. The Group also actively supports its members who like to enter their work into external exhibitions both local and nationally.

How much will it cost to become a member?
The annual subscription is £25. Or if you are not a member, but interested in photography, we will be pleased to see you at a meeting. You are cordially invited to attend up to three meetings listed in the programme section for a fee of £1.50 per meeting.
