An Evening with Andy Rouse
Droitwich Spa Photographic Society has been putting on an annual 'Celebrity Lecture' for over 10 years, and this year will be welcoming Andy Rouse on Saturday 10th March 2012. Most photographers will have heard of Andy and know that he is not only an excellent wildlife photographer, but also a very entertaining speaker, so this evening promises to be one that should not be missed. Hall Green Club Outing
January 2012 - Seven members of SPG went on a field trip to Hall Green Dog Racing Stadium to photograph the greyhound racing. Although the weather was less than ideal and we had to shoot at ISO 800-1600, everyone came away with some good pictures some of which we hope to see in future merit competitions.

October 2011: 3-way inter club competition results
On Monday 31st October we were comfortable winners in a 3-way inter club competition with Evesham and Cookhill/Studley camera clubs. We scored well across the board but notable highlights were John's Yacht (18/20), Malcolm's Approaching The Signal (17), Rob's Footloose (18) and top of the shop Ian with Old Wrecks Salen (20). In the projected images highlights were Sue's Arctic Tern (19), Rob's Chilling out (18), Dick's 'Malice' (18) and Ian's 'Field Mouse' (19).

October 2011: Slimbridge Field Trip
An enjoyable (and hopefully productive) day for all 15 who took advantage of a great day at Slimbridge Wetlands Centre.

August 2011: Malcolm's treasure hunt
Malcolm has arranged a treasure hunt for us. This will be an on-going project through the season and we will show them at our meeting on the 15th May 2012 so there is plenty of time yet, but don’t leave it till the last minute. Take as many as you like and then select your best 12, and put them on a disc, to be lightheartedly judged at the end of the season, there may even be a prize!

The subjects are as follows:-

1. Steam in action - road or rail
2. Wildlife - flora or fauna
3. Motor sport - 2,3 or 4 (plus) wheels
4. Urban decay
5. Man (or woman) at work
6. Portrait - male of female
7. Sports action - any sport, field or indoor
8. Water
9. Still life
10. Canals
11. Church interior
12. Landscape - from Lands End to John O'Groats

August 2011: More club meetings
This season we have been able to expand our activities and will meet three times a month instead of the usual two. The extra meeting each month has been designed to help you and will be a series of workshops. There will be an additional cost of £2.00 per evening to help pay for the hire of the hall.
