Lecture at the Clubhouse.

  • Presentation by James Boardman-Woodend
  • James was the 2014 Astronomy Photographer of the Year, has had a Special Mention Award in International Travel Photographer of the Year & a winning image in International Garden Photographer of the Year. 
    He has been published in many magazines, newspapers & on TV and taken part in exhibitions at the Royal Greenwich Observatory and also at the Royal Geographical Society.
  • It should be enjoyable evening with an accomplished photographer and entertaining speaker 
  • Members free. Visitors £4.


3rd November - 2pm to 4pm

Workshop at Wellesbourne Village Hall.

  • RAW adjustments (Camera to Photoshop) followed by critique 
  • Dick Prior ARPS,EFIAP/b,BPE5*

Sunday 6th November - Meet at 10:30am

Field Trip to Oakley Woods to photograph the fungi. Led by Dick Prior ARPS,EFIAP/b,BPE5*

Parking is in the Crematorium Car Parks, which are free to use. The entrance is opposite Wasperton Lane.

The purpose of this trip is to photograph fungi. But there will also be opportunities to also take in the autumn colours in the woodland as well. We will meet in the first carpark on the left as you go in to the crematorium entrance at 10.30 on Sunday. Please note that other people use this car park and so if full please use one of the other parking places further in.


  • Warm clothing (it’s going to be cold but sunny) 
  • Suitable footwear;
  • Camera:
  • Macro lens (ideal) or the lens you have with the closest focusing distance;
  • Tripod or camera support;
  • Small reflector (crumpled kitchen foil works)
  • Bin bag or similar to kneel on.

  • Selecting and finishing photos for Merit competitions, Exhibitions and Panels

15th November - 7.45pm

Interclub Competition at the Clubhouse

  • 3-way vs Studley vs Evesham
  • Each club submits 8 DPIs and 8 Prints for judging. Each image is scored out of 20. The club with highest total score is the winner
  • Judge  Bob Train LRPS CPAGB


17th November - 2pm to 4pm

Workshop at Wellesbourne Village Hall Stratford upon Avon.

  • Option for another walk to collect 10 more pictures. Details TBD

Preview and critique evening for the Panels competition (6th Dec) at the Clubhouse. This critique session will be run by Malcolm and Doug. Although it is mainly for the Panels competition, you can bring images for Merit 2.
