13 SEPT - MEMBERS EVENING:
We start this season the 13th September with a members evening. This is an opportunity for you to share with the other members what you have been up to during the summer break and have a discussion. New members to the club are more than welcome to bring along some work as well.

20 SEPT - CAMERA WORKSHOP 1: (Cost £2.00)
This is the first of our workshop evening. Please bring along your camera and most importantly your camera manual. Do you still put your camera into auto mode and let the camera do all the work? If so you are not getting the best from your camera and with a few simple tips you can soon start to explore your cameras full potential.

27 SEPT - LECTURE
"The Owd Man & Me" (My Husband &I) Speakers - Roger and Judith Parry ARPS etc.
Roger and Judith Parry are no strangers to photography in the Midlands and have been running Smethwick Photographic Society for more years than they care to reveal. Over time they have built an extensive library of award winning pictures some of which they will bring along tonight to share with us. Complete with their “Brummy” humour this will be an entertaining evening.

17 JAN - CAMERA WORKSHOP: Photoshop Elements - Introduction to Layers (Dick Prior) (Cost £2.00)

24 JAN - CRITIQUE EVENING - ‘Did The Judges Get It Right?’ This critique evening will start with a brief discussion as to what is a ‘good’ photograph led by Dick Prior. Following on from this we would like members to bring up to 4 prints and talk about why you like the image. If there is time we will also look at some images from a recent international Exhibition and ask the question ‘Did the judges get it right?’
