Members' evening.

• "Malcolm's Treasure Hunt" - portfolios of 8 images per entrant - 1 image from each of 8 categories:
  • Anyscape (Land; Sea; City; Night: Cloud; Panorama; etc);
  • Water;
  • Street;
  • Creative/Abstract;
  • Creature;
  • Architecture;
  • Plant;
  • Transport
• The images should be quirky, amusing and unusual.
• This fun competition will be judged by our own Ian Bailey LRPS CPAGB.

20th February - 7.45pm

Workshop/Members' Evening.

Following on from the discussions at the last meeting about likely photographic topics, a few ideas for the next meeting have been received and the topic of “Reflections” has been chosen.

So try and take up to six to eight images or so, on the theme of “Reflections” to show and discuss on 20^th February. This could be reflections in mirrors, or glass in windows, reflections off bodies of water or ice, or reflections off wet roads or other shiny surfaces. Whatever you think might work for this topic, it is up to you. For some random ideas see https://www.eyeem.com/blog/10-tips-for-taking-stunning-reflection-photos-on-your-phone. Best to present as jpeg images, sRGB, 1600 x 1200 pixels, on a stick as usual. Be prepared to talk about your camera settings, the ideas you had, any problems with camera or lenses or other equipment, and be prepared to critique, admire and comment on other people’s interpretations of the theme.
